Bracket Fungi

Another of the Bracket type fungi or shelf fungi. This one looks like old burnt wood but is just its age and dried sap from the tree. Underside is orange and sponge-like. It is on its own and quite large approx. 150mm across, growing on the side of a Spotted Gum tree.

Growing on tree trunk in dry Eucalypt woodland in north east NSW.
