A fairly standard looking spiny orb spider. But, I was unable to identify to species, if anyone would care to help. The closest I found was gasteracantha sanguinolenta mangrovae which cannot be as it is a Madagascar spider,
Adjacent to a small stream. Altitude 1000m.
A difficult sun position stopped me from getting the best shots, but this being a new one for my collection, will do just fine. Added a better image.
