Eastern Blacknose Dace

Rhinichthys atratulusis

Description:

This is a young fish. it is about 1.5 inches long. An adult would be 2 to 3 inches long.

Habitat:

This fish was found in a slow moving pool of a small creek which was located in a temperate forest. This narrow strip of forest is edged by the neighborhood in which I live. Being small, the fish inhabited the shallower part of the pool. Larger fish lived in the deeper part of the pool.
