I know to me too, that was my 1st guess, but I tried everything...there's nothing similar on the internet....
It looks like a Cantharidae to me. Soldier Beetle?
have an idea to confirm. Catch a firefly tonight and take a picture of it for confirmation. Haha... i don't know if its ethical or not.
