Eastern Cottontail Rabbit

Sylvilagus floridanus

A small brown rabbit -- can also be grayish -- named for their fluffy white tail (which unfortunately can't be seen in this shot since the rabbit got away pretty quickly).

A common rabbit species in North & South America. Found in Toronto quite often. Tend to live in more open spaces, like fields.

Have a large & varied diet, including twigs, bark, grass and fruit.
