Upright, shrubby plant. Deciduous, fern-like leaves. Spicy, sweet smell when damaged. Nitrogen fixer! Bayberry Family.

Habitat:

Sears Bellows County Park, New York. Growing in sandy soil next to the trail in woodlands in the park (oak and pitch pine).

Notes:
