White-footed Mouse

Peromyscus leucopus

Description:

Brown-gray above and white below.

Habitat:

Caught in a pit fall trap in an oak forest. He was released after photographs.

Notes:

I am confident this is in the Genus Peromyscus, and am fairly sure about it being Peromyscus leucopus. I do not have much experience with rodents though so if I am wrong please let me know :)

Not very easily! It takes me 12 hours to check them all since they are spread across 11,000 acres. But I have them closed right now so I'm home for the week, will open them back up the beginning of July

How do you manage 27 pit falls?

I have 27 pit falls installed that I am using for my Masters research. If you do one, just make sure you check it everyday when you have it open so stuff doesn't die!

Wow! Totally forgot about the pit-fall trap. I should go do that.
