You can eat it regardless of whether or not it is Boletus edulis if it follows the Bolete edibility rules

David :) Pls do not make a mushroom pasta on this one, just based on my ID suggestion. It is still a bit early in the year for this kind to grow, but the bulky stem are quite significant for the Porcino.
If you are able to, go back and compare it to the information from Wikipedia. The cap should be quite hard and solid. The stem "club-like".
It is also very common that a lot of worms are feeding on the white flesh inside the mushroom, and slugs feeding on the cap, as you can see on your picture. If you are convinced that it is this one you can dry it and use it all year round!
