Description:

Small yellow wasp with bold, black stripes on the abdomen and yellow on the thorax. The eyes are green and antennae are black.

Habitat:

Grass in the backyard orchard.

Notes:

Greek phil 'lover' + anthus 'flower'. Greek phil 'lover' + anthus 'flower' the common name "beewolf" refers to the habit of preying on bees - Beewolf
