A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Galago senegalensis
These cuties fit in the palm of your hand. Just as it gets dark they jump from the top of our house - across a big space - into the fig we sit under. They hunt all night and return just before sunrise. The only time I've heard them is when thier baby fell to the ground - lots of excited chatter until we saw the baby on the ground and handed it back to the agitated parent waiting at the base of the tree. On hot days they come out from under the eaves where they live and watch us
These ones live under the eaves of our house where it gets incredibly hot. (October in Siavonga is HOT!) But I have seen them in the bush - mostly living in rocky areas. Zambia
