Ceriporia purpurea
An unusually coloured patch of fungi with a strong rosy colour. At the margins were clean white and in the centre was a deeper, almost purple crusty depth to it. The whole patch was about 150mm long and 80mm wide.
In damp fern and eucalyptus dominated gully on the side of an old euclayptus log. Creek was about 50 metres away.
Not close enough to be fully convinced. Need to see pores or tubes.
