Rose Plume Moth

Cnaemidophorus rhododactyla

Description:

The moths are orange brown and reach a wingspan of 18 - 26 mm. The larvae feed on various species of roses, including the dog rose ( Rosa canina ), the burnet rose ( Rosa spinosissima ), Rosa rugosa and other kinds of roses, among which are also cultured species.

Habitat:

It is found in the Northern Hemisphere, except for Greenland, South-East Asia and most of North Africa.
