Sandhill Milkweed

Asclepius humistrata

Description:

This plant has its green leaves w/ a purplish coloration. It thrives in sandy soil and low water needs. There were approx. 5-7 plants within a close area of these two. Several of them were blooming w/ small white flowers.

Habitat:

The habitat for these particular plants this date was a pasture area of a County preserve.
