It is most definitely a Green Sea Turtle in the first picture, not a Hawksbill. Among other things, one way you can tell is from the prefrontal scutes, or the scales between the eyes. Green Sea Turtles have one pair (as in your picture) while the Hawksbill has two pairs. http://www.marinelifephotography.com/mar...

Ok, I did my research around my office at Fish and wildlife. Its a Hawksbill. See new photos of a Hawksbill on record at FWS pacific.
