Black ant with golden abdomen. They were in a tree and some red ants were trying to go up but the black ants weren't letting them (photo 4 and 5).

In his book, Megasthenes, a Greek traveler, wrote about ants that dug for gold in mines in eastern India! I think you found the species; they smuggled the gold out in their abdomens and are living as expats. Jokes aside, I have never seen an ant with golden abdomens. Thanks for posting a wonderful find.
