Marasmiellus sp.
A colony of soft white-capped mushrooms with the largest being about 25 mm wide. Caps were very thin, with radiating grooves (as in some Marasmiellus) and dark sooty centres. Gills were spaced, decurrent and brittle. The stipe was velvety and dark.
Spotted growing in sodden dirt at the base of an unknown (probably) native tree in a national park. http://bie.ala.org.au/species/b5bc2f60-1...
Order: Agaricales Family: Marasmiaceae
