Green sea turtle

Description:

Green turtles can grows up to 140 cm in lenght and 300 kg in weight.

Habitat:

They live in warm and temperate waters of all the oceans. Every 2-3 years female comes back to the beach to lay eggs. After 50-70 days hatchlings emerge at night and run to the sea. Young feed on small invertebrates and fish, adults mainly on plants.

Notes:

Sex of the hatchling depends on the temperature of incubation of eggs.
