Bleeding Mycena

Mycena kuurkacea

Description:

Clumps of dark pink mycena with caps upto 15 mm wide. The conical caps had dark centres with pale gills and dark pink stems. The free edge of the gills were also dark (marginate)

Habitat:

Spotted growing in colonies amongst wood chip mulch.

Notes:

Broken stems appeared to bleed red.
