A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Egretta thula
A group Snowy Egrets hunting for fish at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge.
Tidal Pond, gathered around drainage pipe.
As noted in my previous spotting ( http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/258... ): A road goes through this tidal wetland; the egrets (and other birds) gather near drainage pipes that run underneath it to catch the fish that flow through during incoming or outgoing tides. They're intelligent enough to gather only on the side that the tide is flowing out of, when the tide changes they go to the other side of the road.
