Congrats Shayna, your adorable fox kit is our Spotting of the Day! Fox kits usually venture out on their own during daylight hours at around three to four weeks old. Mom is not usually far away and keeps an eye on the cubs, but will not approach them if people are around. Kits are sometimes taken in by well-meaning people who mistakenly believe that they have been orphaned and are in need of human intervention, but unless obviously injured they are always best left where they are as they have a far better chance of survival in the wild.
