Most likely a Dog Lichen ( Peltigera species) as in

The brown structures are probably fruiting bodies. You might need to check out lichen from Peltigeraceae family in the Philippines.

Hello Leuba Ridgway ..They grow on a tree trunk..on a dead tree trunk In a moist rainforest trail in Mt. Apo in the Philippines. I noticed these lichen while on our hike from the mountain summit..:)

atty.dan, This looks interesting - a lichen of some sort, perhaps. Could you give us some information about this, please. Where was it growing ? was it on a tree trunk ?
