Southern Australian Rhinoceros beetle?
Found dead amongst leaf litter South Australia, Southern suburbs of Adelaide
It is definitely a native rhinoceros beetle, most likely Dasygnathus trituberculatus (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Dynastinae). The other, very similar Dasygnathus species occurring in Queensland.
