Description:

As with most ducks, this species has a marked sexual dimorphism. In this case, the females are somewhat smaller than the male and very cryptic, with a brownish mottled plumage in which only the eyepiece stands out, the same color as in the male.

Habitat:

Section that is conserved with water from the old Turia river that has currently been diverted through another basin to prevent the river from overflowing in the city. They have nests next to the banks.
