Description:

Bright yellow flower caught my eye. Serrated leaf edge.

Habitat:

Growing neglected by the side of a rainwater drain alongside a road in a residential colony. Garden escapee?

Notes:

The fully bloomed flower was spotted on 6 May 2014.Thanks toRahulUpadhayay for ID. Wikipedia spells it Turnera.

Thank you RahulUpadhyay. Cuban buttercup it is. It's an invasive species no wonder it is so far from Cuba! Pretty nonetheless almost good enough to be a garden flower. Attracts butterflies too.
