Northern Gannet

Morus bassanus

Description:

Large white seabird with a large yellow bill and no black on the face. The wing tips and 1/3 of the wing is black while the rest is white. They can often be seen from the beach, often just the black and white wings flashing at the horizon. They dive vertically into the water.

Habitat:

Oceans, often near land.
