Deciduous plant that can be shrubby or a vine. Has three leaflets per leaf.


Rural yard. But basically likes edge habitat or disturbed habitat.


While this plant can be problematic to humans. It is an important food for many wildlife species when the plant fruits. It is also a host plant for several species of butterflies and moths, including the Eyed Paectes Moth:
