Cedar Waxwing

Bombycilla cedrorum

Description:

Brown,slightly gray plumage,pale yellow on breast and belly. Secondary wing feathers tipped with red droplets. Tail is square with a bright yellow band at tip. Cedar waxwings have a crest and a black mask edged with white.

Habitat:

Woodland bordering an old field.

Notes:

This observation was a happy surprise. This small bird was deep in the branches of a tree. It came out of the thick branches with some doves I was observing.
