Leptoplana mediterranea
Normally elongated body, more rounded at the front and pointed at the back. The length of mature specimens can vary from approximately 11 to 25 mm. The back is brown or whitish. The belly adopts shades that go from yellow to translucent white, which allows you to see its internal organs. When observing natural specimens, it seems that they have two circular spots on the head, but with the help of a binocular loupe two other smaller spots can be seen. The largest spots, found in the area where the tentacles would come out (which are absent), correspond to the tentacular eyes; the less visible spots are that of the cerebral eyes.
