Brown-eyed Susan

Rudbeckia triloba

Description:

Family: Asteraceae. Much thinner and sprawling and with smaller flowers than the far more well known Black-eyed Susan. The plant gets its species name from the young basal leaves, which tend to be tri-lobed. It seems to self sow easily as it has spread to different parts of the native garden.
