Bark mantis nymph

Description:

Found this very different looking praying mantis (??) during evening time. It started hiding after i took two photographs. As tree was too complex, it was impossible to find him again!

Hi Adarsha, you don't have to carry a ruler if you know the size of your finger. My forefinger is 1 cm wide at mid-nail and you can be pretty accurate with that.

If this is a Mantis, it is the weirdest one I've ever seen... it does seems to have mantis front legs. What is that thing on it's back? How big was it?
