Description:

Tan lizard with black spots and bars. This lizard was emerging from its home which was a small hole.

Habitat:

Chaparral along trail. "This subspecies is found in coastal Southern California, mostly west of the Peninsular Ranges and south of the Transverse Ranges, and north into Ventura County. Ranges south into Baja California."
