about 1.5 cm in length, black with white spots, seen on both star (Centaurea sp.) and cotton (Onopordum sp.) thistles

Habitat:

desert mountain wadis with a lot of spring vegetation

Scarabaeidae, Cetoniinae. Looks like being an Oxythyrea sp., butI cannot tell you which one it actually is. Funesta??
