Yours beetle is large in size, mine is only about half cm, very small...

Hello, Hema! Yes, they are similar but mine beetle is smaller and it's metallic maroon in color and shine green...Thank you :)

I searched and searched and decided to ID this beetle as Amara sp., can't ID it to species level because they all look the same in my eyes :) Thank you very much for help....

Yes, you're right, it's not Calathus sp., Amara sp. looks better suggestion...

Hmm, proportions do ot match in my eyes, body too long for Calathus erratus. But I may be wrong. Amara sp.?
