Achiles Tang

Acanthurus achilles

Description:

Achiles Tang spotted at the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. This spot is not the best snorkeling spot on Oahu, but it has the greatest biodiversity of any place on the island. We have seen over 100 different species of marine life at this park, over a period of approximately 4.5 years.

I am putting together a short word document that captures most of what I have learned, hopefully you will find that useful. I will drop it into an e-mail next week when I cycle back off night shifts.

Hawaii's loss. Maybe I could buy you a beer and pick your brain about technique before you leave? You could email me at projectnoahfish-m at eghm.net.

Mark, my pleasure. We have lived in Hawaii for almost 5 years... but are moving back to the US mainland soon. I kind of have "snorkel fever" right now, so I am taking and uploading as many good quality fish photos as I can get in the next few weeks!
