Ladybugs

Hippodamia convergens

Description:

I found where all of the ladybugs are hiding. I came across these ladybugs while hiking in October at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park - Fall Creek Unit, in Felton, CA. There were thousands of them grouped together on different plants. They are only located on this one section of the trail spanning maybe 10 yards. In all my hikes there I haven't seen then anywhere else. On my last hike there in February 2014, all of the ladybugs were still there in that same exact location.

Habitat:

Redwood Forest
