Description:

A venomous viper that is responsible for the vast majority of snake bites needing medical attention here in northern Costa Rica. They have a reputation for aggressive behavior. This was a relatively small one maybe 50-60cm long.

Habitat:

Found near a storage shed in an orange grove.
