A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
This is a green beetle. It has a mate beside it. I see these species just sitting on this plant. The plant's leaves are hairs and pokey, with white hairs. You wouldn't see the beetles unless you were looking closely. They blend in with the plant. The beetle's main body is square and green. Its shoulders and head are shaped into a point. The insect has a lime green thin color around the borders of its body.
Western Washington. found on a floral bush in my mom's garden.
