Bidens pilosa
"Bidens pilosa" may flower at any time of the year, but in temperate regions mainly in summer and autumn. This plant is considered a weed in some tropical habitats. However, in some parts of the world it is a source of food or medicine. For example, in sub-Saharan Africa, the tender shoots and young leaves are used fresh or dried as a leaf vegetable, particularly in times of scarcity. And, in some regions in Brazil, we make Tea of it to use on control of Tick and flea in some pets.
Weed of cultivation, canal banks, roadsides, waste ground. I found this specimen in a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.
