Chaetura pelagica
They are olive above and gray-brown below. They have a distinctive body shape; they look like a torpedo with long, curved, and pointed wings. Although it looks all black in the photo, I identified it first with binoculars, just didn't come out so well in the photos. But it was a lifer for me!
Several were flying around at a chimney structure built specifically for Chimney Swifts at a nature preserve.
