Garden spider with yellow and brown markings. Possibly a St. Andrews Cross spider.

Araneidae, Argiopinae, Argiope sp.. Definitely an Argiope sp. and in my eyes this looks like Argiope anasuja, which is to my knowledge the only Argiope found on the Maldives. Obviously is is also quite variable, so, please, you need to verify yourself!
