European Brown Snail - Cornu aspersum
I've moved this snail from the Reptiles category to the Other category for you. Snails and slugs are Mollusks which here on PN go in "Other.".
Thank you @bayucca. We eat them as well in Cyprus, "καράολοι" with "λαδόξυδο" ;)
Should be καράολοι, used in Saliggaria Stiffado Saganaki.http://www.spanishrecipesbynuria.com/oth...http://kopiaste.org/2012/05/saliggaria-s...Sorry for these unusual links in a nature forum ;-)...Very similar to the Roman Snail or Burgundy Snail, Helix pomatia:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helix_poma...I do not think it is this one due to the range and the stripes on the shell.http://entomology.ifas.ufl.edu/creatures...http://www.molluscs.at/gastropoda/terres...http://www.cabi.org/isc/datasheet/26821http://www.molluscs.at/gastropoda/terres...
