Spider Wasp

Priocnemis cornica

Description:

Large black wasp with long antennae and dashes of what appears to be pollen on the thorax. It crawled under a dead leaf, presumably into its nest.

Habitat:

Leaf litter at a nature preserve. It was in a more coastal forest area, with fewer trees and more shrubs and reeds.
