Hi Bernadette! If you remain undecided between promissa or coniuncta (as I am) please leave the scientific name as Catocala sp. to fit in with our database standards. Possible species can go into your notes. Maybe an expert will highlight clear criteria for us to make the difference.

There are many Catocala species in Europe. The forewing and hindwing markings here do not match optata. They seem closer to promissa or conjuncta (coniuncta). All species are listed on these specialized pages:
