Tiger Lily (hybrid)

Lilium lancifolium (hybrid)

Description:

Through cross pollination, I made a hybrid of a Tiger lily and Asiatic lily. The offspring produce bulbils and set seed unlike Tiger Lilys that usually are self sterile.

Great job on your cross. Do you happen to know the name of the Asiatic lily in it's parentage? I grow many different things including our own hybridized daylilies but never really got into lilums. If you want to see some of our daylily hybrids you can check them out here https://garden.org/lists/view/edibleland... Good luck on your hybridizing, If you get any extra bulbils this year you'd be willing to swap or share for postage please reach out to me. I would love to try your hybrid here in South Carolina and let you know how it holds up in the hot and humid south.
