:) Thank you for the comment, Sukanya! Yes this is a real gall and it looks like an apple in person, too. It will eventually turn brown and much less attractive but it's pretty while it's still growing!

That apple -like thing..that is a gall??? I'd have plucked it and eaten it. Honestly...it looks JUST like an apple...I thought galls were deformed ugly-looking things...
