Description:

Large red dragonfly with transparent wings. Females are Similar to male in size but is brownish with a yellowish stripe running along the mid- dorsal thorax to the 4th segment of abdomen.

Habitat:

Marshes, weedy ponds, lakes and edges of slow-flowing rivers.
