Flowering plant in the family Cistaceae. This shoot was taken during a field trip of our Biology course.

Habitat:

Montado (dehesa) area.

Notes:

This photo was taken in Herdade da Ribeira Abaixo (Grândola), an homestead that belongs to the Faculty of Sciencies of the University of Lisbon. C. ladanifer is particularly well suited to the Continentalized Mediterranean climate, standing both long summer droughts and cold weather.
