Sometimes it's the right place at the right time. This battle came shrieking out of a tree to land with a thud beside me. I was able to get this one photo before the wasp flew off with her prize.

Awesome find! I'm slightly jealous --/ these are my favorite wasps, and I've never seen a female nab a cicada (your is female- males don't hunt..)
