Northern Green Frog

Rana clamitans melanota

Description:

About 10cm tall in the sitting position.

Habitat:

Found just outside a creek bed in a very moist/swampy shaded area.

Notes:

Sat totally still while I photographed and my labrador ran all around. Maybe a dominance posture of sorts?

Thanks Sachin Zaveri for the comment!
Thank you so much TylerGraden for the ID and the awesome description! I'm not so great at identifying amphibians but thought I would make an attempt anyway.

Great pictures. This is actually a Northern Green Frog - very similar to the American Bullfrog but distinguishable by the ridge (known as the Supratympanic fold) which runs down the frogs back. The ridge on Green Frogs extends down the length of the back whereas on Bullfrogs it ends at the ear.
