Raccoon Skull

Procyon lotor

Description:

A skull of a raccoon. Thank you EmilyMarino and Jeff Dreier for suggesting this ID!

Habitat:

I can't remember when/where I found this on this trip, but the mud under it suggests it may have been near water.

Thank you guys! Since I've had both of you tell me, I'll change the ID. Not that I don't trust Jeff, but I like to have at least a few people give me the same idea on finds like this. Thanks :)

I agree with Jeff! I am almost positive it is a raccoon! Cool find!

Aw man, didn't get one from that angle!

The shape suggests raccoon. A photo showing size and teeth would clinch the ID.
